Administrative Assistant / HR Coordinator
Location: Phoenix, AZ (In Office)
Schedule: Full-Time, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Compensation: $21.00 per hour
Reports To: HR Manager
Position Summary
Covey Security is seeking a professional and organized Administrative Assistant / HR Coordinator to support our Human Resources and Operations teams. This position serves as the first point of contact for visitors, candidates, and employees while assisting with recruiting, onboarding, employee records, and daily office administration.
Key Responsibilities
  • Create a welcoming and professional environment for guests, candidates, employees, and vendors.
  • Serve as the primary front desk contact by answering phones, greeting visitors, and responding to inquiries.
  • Maintain office files, records, correspondence, and administrative documentation.
  • Coordinate schedules, meetings, and other administrative activities.
  • Post job openings, review applications, conduct candidate pre-screening, and schedule interviews.
  • Assist with background screening, onboarding, and new hire orientation.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and update information in HR systems.
  • Assist employees with routine HR-related questions and requests.
  • Support guard licensing compliance, employee credential tracking, and uniform inventory management.
  • Provide administrative support to HR and Operations as needed.
Qualifications
Required
  • 1+ years of administrative, recruiting, HR, customer service, or office support experience.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills.
  • Professional demeanor and customer service mindset.
  • High attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Preferred
  • Experience supporting recruiting or HR functions.
  • Experience with Paycor, Belfry, or other HR/Applicant Tracking Systems.
  • Experience in the security, staffing, or service industries.
