Description
The Human Resources Director - Retail will be responsible for oversight of human resources efforts for our retail stores. This will include a focus on recruitment, staffing, implementing performance evaluation programs and metric tracking based on employee performance. They will also ensure our stores meet compliance with federal, state and in-house regulatory requirements and procedures.
Examples of Duties and Responsibilities?
  • Create and implement employee relations policies to help increase employees' job satisfaction at all retail stores
  • Work with Retail leadership on planning of manpower needs. Proactively assists to fill positions
  • Reviews and makes recommendations for improvement of company policies, procedures and practices
  • Maintains knowledge of industry trends, employment legislation and compliance requirements
  • Assists with annual reviews, preparation and administration of company wage and salary program
  • Consults with legal counsel as appropriate regarding personnel maters
  • Works directly with department managers to assist with personnel matters
  • Train team leaders on performance evaluation techniques and best practices
  • Evaluate and implement an orientation procedure for onboarding new hires and training them to meet the needs of the company
  • Implement high-performance goals and programs to ensure quality product and service at all of our retail locations
  • Communicate with employees about compensation, benefits and other facets of their employment
  • Works with Retail and corporate leadership to establish and maintain a learning and development program for retail employees
  • Leadership development for our managers; driving home the importance of their individual development plan

Minimum Qualifications?
  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or related field required
  • Must have experience working in human resources in retail
  • Four (4) years' experience in human resources department
  • At least two (2) years' experience in multi-location (5+ locations) in HR Management preferred
  • Strong understanding of the interviewing process, benefits administration, payroll and other HR functions
  • PHR, SHRM certification a plus
  • Excellent communication, leadership and planning skills
