Job description

Specific Job Functions:

  • Maintain records including repairs needed, lost and found items, and quality of work completed by employees
  • Inspect rooms to ensure they are up to property standards
  • Ensure Guest Room Attendants (GRAs) are conforming to the health laws and standards set by the property
  • Work closely with the Front Desk to ensure guests receive clean rooms in a timely manner
  • Work with Engineering to ensure maintenance concerns are handled appropriately
  • Work with scheduling to ensure proper staffing levels
  • Manage assigned operational functions consistent with the strategic plan and vision for the department, division and property
  • Manage and monitor fiscal budget and marketing strategies to produce both short-term and long-term profitability for the property
  • Manage the delivery and measurement of guest service consistent with the properties core service standards and brand attributes
  • Provide input into research, development, evaluation, and implementation of new products, services, technology, and processes to ensure property’s competitive position and in anticipation of changing customer needs
  • Manage Human Resources responsibilities including creating a work environment which promotes teamwork, performance feedback, recognition, mutual respect and employee satisfaction; quality hiring, training and succession planning processes that encompass the Company’s diversity commitment; compliance with Company policies, legal requirements and collective bargaining agreements
  • Coordinate turn-down services and other special requests made by VIP Services and VIP guests
  • Control expenses by voluntary staff reductions when necessary
  • Instruct employees and new hires on the products used for cleaning in accordance with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) chemical Right to Know standards
  • Perform all duties as deemed necessary for the success of the department

Qualifications

  • At least two years Housekeeping Supervisory experience required
  • Previous experience with Collective Bargaining Agreements
  • Knowledge of cleaning procedures and OSHA regulations preferred
  • Excellent customer service skills are necessary
  • Must have a professional appearance and demeanor
