Job description

Job Title: PainterJob Description

This role is responsible for preparing a wide range of surfaces and applying paint, coatings, and finishes on commercial construction projects such as offices, schools, hospitals, banks, and industrial facilities. You will perform all phases of paint preparation and application while maintaining high quality standards, adhering to job site safety practices, and meeting project deadlines.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare interior and exterior surfaces for painting by masking, sanding, patching, and cleaning as required for each project.
  • Apply paint, coatings, and finishes using brush and roller techniques to achieve consistent, high-quality results.
  • Follow project plans and specifications to ensure correct colors, finishes, and coverage on all assigned surfaces.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, including proper protection of adjacent surfaces and equipment.
  • Inspect completed work for quality, making touch-ups and corrections as needed to meet project standards.
  • Use appropriate tools, materials, and equipment safely and efficiently throughout each project.
  • Adhere to job site safety procedures and regulations, including proper use of personal protective equipment.
  • Coordinate with other trades and team members to support efficient project sequencing and timely completion.
  • Monitor and manage time on tasks to help ensure projects are completed within established deadlines.
  • Assist with setup and cleanup at job sites, including moving ladders, scaffolding, and materials as needed.
Essential Skills
  • At least 2 years of painting experience in a residential or commercial setting.
