Your role will be based onsite at our well-equipped surgical center, fostering a dynamic work setting where you will collaborate closely with surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals. • Conduct comprehensive patient examinations and accurately assess their medical histories to determine appropriate care pathways.
• Order and interpret essential diagnostic tests, such as blood work and imaging studies, to guide treatment decisions.
• Diagnose and manage acute health conditions, ensuring timely interventions to enhance patient outcomes.
• Create and implement tailored treatment plans for patients with chronic illnesses, adapting strategies as required for individual patient needs.
• Prescribe medications and meticulously monitor their efficacy and potential side effects to ensure optimal patient safety.
• Maintain detailed and organized patient records, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and facilitating continuity of care.
• Provide education to patients and their families regarding health conditions, treatment options, and preventive health strategies to empower them in managing their health.
• Promote a culture of wellness through patient outreach and engagement initiatives designed to increase community awareness of available health services.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and stay abreast of advancements in healthcare practices to enhance your skills.

As a Physician Assistant, you will work with a diverse patient demographic, ranging from young adults to seniors, each presenting unique health challenges. The surgical center caters to patients requiring both elective and urgent surgical interventions, ensuring you’ll have the opportunity to apply your skills in various clinical scenarios. Your role is crucial in bridging the gap between patient needs and healthcare services, thus contributing to continuous improvements in our community’s overall health.

• A Master’s degree in Physician Assistant studies from an accredited program.
• A valid state license to practice as a Physician Assistant, along with a passing score on the national certifying exam.
• In-depth understanding of healthcare regulations and best practices in patient care.
• Exceptional communication skills, enabling effective interaction with patients and healthcare teams.
• Strong ethical standards and a genuine commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centered care.
• Ability to thrive in fast-paced environments and remain calm under pressure.
• Willingness to proactively seek out learning and clinical experiences to enhance your practice.
• Current DEA number is required for prescribing.

• Proven experience as a Physician Assistant in surgical, hospital, or urgent care settings.
• Expertise in both primary care and acute care practices familiar with treatment protocols.
• Hands-on experience in patient education and community outreach initiatives.
• Bilingual skills are a plus but not mandatory.
