As a Watch Commander - GSOC, you will be the person spotting threats before they escalate in environments such as a security operations centers, call centers, parking gatehouses, etc. What's in it for you: Site Location: Richmond, VA Set schedule: Full-time, Sat/Sun 5:30am-1:30pm | Mon 1:30pm-10:30pm | Tues/Wed 10:30pm-5:30am Competitive hourly wage of $29.82/Hour (DailyPay is available for GardaWorld employees!) A comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurance plans, a 401(k) retirement savings plan with employer matching contributions, paid time off (PTO) policy, paid holidays, disability coverage, and life insurance options Career growth opportunities at GardaWorld Uniform provided at no cost Responsibilities of Watch Commander Provide timely communications and actionable intelligence to support the protection of people, assets/intellectual property, and infrastructure of center and related interests/entities Serve as the hub for the monitoring, analysis, and interpretation of risks and threats that may affect the business and ensure all systems, both hardware and software, are functioning properly, and immediately notify appropriate stakeholders Perform analysis, planning, and provide direction in order to ensure that the SOC is delivering maximum value to the business Identify and communicate daily all critical items requiring the attention of senior management and coordinate with Security Managers to provide necessary documentation in support of uniformed guard force activity (e.g., Officer Dispatch, Incident Reporting, etc.) Develop a program for maintenance and troubleshooting of software systems with a focus on preventative maintenance and early detection of potential issues and assist in identifying new technologies and upgrades for existing systems Assume full responsibility for identifying and scheduling all appropriate certifications and inspections of the SOC, its systems, personnel and functions and ensure procedures and protocols are in place that enable the timely and effective response to, and management of, incidents, alarms, notifications, calls and other activities related to the SOC and its role as a central monitoring station Develop training and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for personnel assigned to the SOC and control rooms to facilitate effective performance Supervise SOC personnel on multiple shifts, complete performance appraisals, handling employee complaints and disciplining 9 Other duties as assigned Qualifications of a Watch Commander Minimum five (5) years experience in a Security Operations Center, Security Communications Center, security/alarm monitoring center or other closely related operation Work experience must include the following: Ability to prioritize workload based on urgency; able to delegate tasks, and communicate to a range of audiences including to executive management Demonstrated analytic and critical thinking skills Demonstrated ability to ensure compliance, monitoring of assets, and making rapid notifications via mass communication tools Demonstration of strong computer skills (hardware, software & network operations) with the ability to communicate effectively with IT and Security Systems professionals Other Related Attributes That Would Enhance Hiring Consideration: Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or related field Communication Center supervisory experience Documented work experience with a UL Certified Central Alarm Receiving Station Documented experience and competency in any of the following Security Software Systems: Access Control/ID systems (ProWatch a plus) Industry simulation software solution Alarm Receiving Automation software (Onyx Works a plus) Incident Management and computer assisted dispatch software CCTV/Video Management systems (MaxProa plus) Mass Notification systems (Everbridge a plus) o Business Intelligence and Travel Tracking (e.g
