Job description

Regional Controller

Working as a Regional Controller you will be responsible for assisting with monthly fiscal close, forecast, and budgets, including preparation of financial statements for assigned Regions or Subsidiaries. The successful candidate will be a highly motivated professional with proven ability to establish excellent working relationships with various team members and levels of management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the oversight of monthly P&L and balance sheet activity, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and adherence to company policies
  • Direct the review of general ledger and balance sheet accounts, identifying and resolving reconciliation issues in a timely manner
  • Oversee the reconciliation and analysis of key ledger accounts, including bank account activity, cashless transactions, accounts receivable, and inventory
  • Ensure adherence to internal controls and company policies, proactively identifying risks and implementing corrective actions to maintain compliance and financial integrity
  • Drive the preparation of financial reporting, including flash reports, forecasts, and budgets
  • Analyze financial performance across accounts and service lines, delivering clear, actionable insights to operations and client stakeholders
  • Partner closely with the RVP and operations leadership to drive profitability, cost efficiency, and operational performance
  • Assist in the assessment of new business and retention proposals, including the review and enforcement of contractual obligations
  • Support and lead special projects, including strategic initiatives supporting regional, divisional, and sector priorities
  • Supervise, coach, and develop a team of 45 direct reports, fostering a high-performance and accountable culture
  • Champion the training, development, and continuous improvement of accounting staff across assigned branches.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance or equivalent professional experience
  • A minimum of five years of accounting experience with 3 years of supervisory experience
  • Proven ability to lead, develop, and retain high-performing teams
  • Demonstrated experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to identify issues, recommend solutions, and drive results
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast paced, dynamic work environment
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively partner with operations and senior leadership
  • Advanced Excel skills; experience with SAP or similar ERP systems preferred
