Position

Electrical Engineer II โ€“ Production Hardware (Onsite)

Location

Tucson, AZ โ€“ 801 ~ 1151 E Hermans Rd, BLDG 801 (External Site)

Security Clearance

U.S. citizenship required. Active, transferable DoD Secret clearance required prior to start. Interim U.S. governmentโ€‘issued security clearance available.

Job Summary

Assist program execution with cost, schedule, and technical oversight throughout the product lifecycle. Provide resources to drive development and sustainment of airborne electrical products. Work collaboratively with Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, and other Engineering disciplines to resolve production, testing, and integration issues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Enhance electrical engineering skills working with digital, analog, and/or RF hardware testing and debugging complex circuit card assemblies or electroโ€‘mechanical systems.
  • Collaborate with crossโ€‘functional teams to document concurrence and resolve issues during production, testing, and integration.
  • Provide technical oversight, cost estimation, tracking & reporting, and preparation of detailed technical team reports.
  • Support proposal development and engineering change management.
Qualifications
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Engineering, Science, Physics, Mathematics, or related STEM field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in RF, analog, digital, and/or mixedโ€‘signal circuit design or analysis.
  • Familiarity with laboratory equipment including waveform generators, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and/or network analyzers.
  • Experience with design tools such as Mentor Graphics Designer, PSPICE, System Vision, MATLAB, Mathcad, CST, HFSS, or ADS.
Preferred Experience
  • Rootโ€‘cause corrective action investigations.
  • Electrical engineering design of CCA, EO, RF, seeker/sensor, or electronic subsystem, including test automation scripting and sensor control.
  • Subsystems integration and test, postโ€‘test flight analysis, and application of Statistical Process Control methods.
  • Technical writing, formal presentation, and implementation of Engineering Change Notices.
  • Selfโ€‘starter capable of independent work and small technical team leadership.
Working Conditions

3rd shift (11p.m. โ€“ 8a.m.). Travel required is less than 10% annually. 9/80 schedule available.

Compensation and Benefits

Salary range: $68,900 โ€“ $131,100 per year. Eligible for medical, dental, vision, life insurance, shortโ€‘term and longโ€‘term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Additional incentive compensation is possible at management discretion.
