Job description

  • Shift begins at 3:00 PM and concludes upon completion of assigned tasks; end times may vary based on workload.
  • Includes a $1.00 shift differential for hours worked on the second shift.

JOB SUMMARY:

In these roles, you will ensure the safe and timely delivery of fresh and frozen food products to Holiday/CK Stores locations across the greater Twin Cities region. Delivery schedules are from Sunday to Thursday, with departure times varying based on route assignments.
RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES:
  • Safely operate a 26-foot straight truck.
  • Load and unload at the Holiday Support Facility in Brooklyn Center and at various Holiday/CK Store locations.
  • Conduct vehicle inspections before and after each trip.
  • Effectively use PeopleNet for GPS fleet tracking.
  • Complete necessary paperwork and fueling responsibilities.
  • Maintain professional interactions with Holiday/CK Stores staff and customers.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Support Facility Management.
  • Adhere to all regulatory compliances, including DOT, USDA, FDA, OSHA, and state/local safety standards and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).

EDUCATION/TRAINING REQUIRED:
  • Minimum age of 21+.
  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Valid Class D driver's license (CDL not required).

At least two years of BOX truck driving experience:
  • Mandatory clean driving record.
  • No recent drug or alcohol-related incidents.
  • Basic arithmetic skills.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently.
  • Must pass a DOT Physical Capacities exam, drug screen, and criminal background check.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS and WORK ENVIRONMENT:
  • Safe navigation in and out of the truck's cab and box.
  • Capability to lift, push, pull, and carry loads of 50-75 LBS.
  • Frequent bending, with occasional squatting, stooping, and walking.
  • Mostly seated, with some standing involved.
