Phoenix, AZ - Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) Analyst | Contract-to-Hire | Local Candidates Only

Short Job Description

The Arizona Department of Economic Security (DES), Division of Technology Services (DTS), is seeking a Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) Analyst to support security governance, risk assessments, audits, compliance reviews, and information security programs. This role will work closely with business and technical teams to evaluate security controls, develop audit findings and remediation plans, ensure compliance with frameworks such as NIST 800-53 Rev. 5, RMF, IRS Pub 1075, HIPAA/HITRUST, CJIS, and MARS-E, and produce executive-level reports and documentation.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in information security risk management, IT audits, compliance, risk assessments, security policy development, and Windows/Unix environments. Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills are required.

Key Requirements
  • Local Phoenix, AZ candidates only (must reside within approximately 1 hour of Phoenix).
  • Must be available for in-person interviews within 1 week of posting close.
  • Must be able to start within 2 weeks of offer acceptance.
  • 4-month contract-to-hire opportunity.
  • Must be eligible for full-time conversion; visa sponsorship is not available.
