Vitense Golfland - Madison, WI
Position: Server
Employment Type: Part-time or Full-time, Seasonal or Year-Round (based on availability and performance)
Schedule: Flexible scheduling with daytime, evening, weekend, and holiday shifts available. Vitense is currently seeking servers who are able to commit to at least 2 shifts per week. Typical shifts may range from 5-8 hours in length.
Compensation:
  • Golf Range: $10/hour + tips
  • Babes at Vitense Restaurant & Bar: $7.25/hour + tips

Founded by George and Odie Vitense, the business is now proudly owned and operated by the 3rd and 4th generations of the Vitense family, continuing a long tradition of creating fun, memorable experiences for guests of all ages.
Our facility includes a Top 50 golf range, a lit par-3 golf course, three miniature golf courses, a restaurant and bar, quick-service dining options, Odie's Beer Garden, batting cages, the Vitense Golf Academy, and more. Every team member helps ensure guests enjoy all that Vitense has to offer.
We're hiring Servers to join our energetic, guest-focused team. This position includes serving in both Babes at Vitense (our restaurant and bar) and on our Golf Range, where you'll deliver food and beverages directly to guests enjoying Toptracer technology in our heated golf suites.
About the Role:
Servers at Vitense Golfland are cross-trained to work in two distinct service environments:
  1. Babes at Vitense Restaurant & Bar
  2. The Golf Range Food & Beverage Service

Both environments require exceptional guest service, strong communication skills, and the ability to provide memorable dining experiences. However, the pace, flow, and responsibilities differ between the two settings.
Key Responsibilities:
Babes at Vitense (Restaurant & Bar Service)
  • Provide traditional sit-down table service with assigned sections
  • Take orders, run food and beverages, and manage multiple seated tables
  • Offer knowledgeable upsells and menu recommendations
  • Maintain clean, stocked dining areas, including table resets
  • Communicate closely with Hosts, Bartenders, Kitchen staff, and Managers on Duty
  • Work indoors or on the covered patio in a structured, predictable flow

Ideal Candidates:
Servers who enjoy multitasking, staying organized during busy periods, and providing consistent, attentive restaurant service.
Golf Range (Mobile Outdoor Service)
  • Serve guests throughout a large, outdoor golf range service area
  • Take orders using a handheld POS and deliver directly to golf bays
  • Engage with guests to recommend food, drinks, and upsells
  • Assist guests with basic ball-tracking system questions (training provided; no golf experience required)
  • Maintain bay cleanliness, bus tables, and restock service stations
  • Communicate via radio with fellow Range staff, Runners, and Bartenders
  • Work in a casual, high-energy recreational environment

Ideal Candidates:
Servers who enjoy being active, have an outgoing personality, and feel motivated by a fast-paced, sales-focused environment.
Requirements:
  • Must be 18+ years old
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (6-7-hour shifts)
  • Friendly, positive attitude with strong guest service skills
  • Server experience is helpful but not required. We will train the right person!
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
