Summary
Under the direction of the Restaurant Manager or Assistant F&B Director - Casual Dining, assists in the management and operation of a food and/or beverage outlet in the Food and Beverage Department.

Supervisory Responsibilities
Directly manages Lead Restaurant, Dining and Beverage Supervisors who, in turn, manage support staff. Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Enterprises policies and procedures. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, mentoring, coaching and training employees; planning, assigning, scheduling and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems in a professional and effective manner as well as implementing and managing revenue and cost performance initiatives.

Resource Allocation: Allocate time and budget to support ECMs' participation in developmental activities, such as courses, certifications, or conferences.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Ensures excellent customer service for every guest, every time.
Resolves guest complaints.
Interacts with customers as much as possible.
Ensures restaurant and employees meet both state and departmental requirements concerning sanitation and personal hygiene.
Working knowledge of and execution of policies and procedures in Food and Beverage department.
Provides supervision and support for all employees in the department.
Ensures that all hiring practices, employee disciplinary actions, and expectations of employees are in accordance with departmental and company policies and procedures.
Reviews supply inventory reports and orders necessary items.
Verifies validity of casino complimentary slips.
Assembles work schedules.
Establishes training programs in conjunction with the Manager and administers training
Oversees outlets in the absence of the Manager.
Prepares and coordinates the periodic performance evaluations of personnel.
Maintains and instructs assigned personnel on safety and health standards, policies and procedures and follows up to ensure hazards are eliminated.
Ensures designated work areas, flatware, glasses, dinner ware and other items used to serve customers are free from hazards (i.e. chips, breaks, liquid on the floor, etc.).
Hires and trains Tribal Members consistent with the casino's Community and Indian Preference guidelines.
Maintains work schedule as required by management and also, based upon business needs, making oneself available as necessary.
Completes job responsibilities and performance objectives in a timely and effective manner and in accordance with policies and procedures.
Maintains a favorable working relationship with all company employees to foster and promote a cooperative and harmonious working climate.
Keeps Restaurant/Beverage Manager and Assistant F&B Director fully informed of all issues (i.e. problems, unusual matters of significance and positive events) and takes prompt corrective action where necessary or suggests alternative courses of action.
Responsible for maintaining up-to-date knowledge of Credit Card Compliance requirements commonly known as PCI (Payment Card Industry) Compliance by attending training provided by Casino Arizona, at least once a year or more if required by management. Signature verification of course attendance will be required.
Responsible for the enforcement of PCI (Payment Card Industry) Compliance regulations to protect cardholder data and adhere to the standards to protect the guests' private card information. This includes, but is not limited to, observing and reporting inappropriate card handling activity, of either customers or by employees, as defined by PCI.
Responsible for the enforcement of all applicable regulations, under the code of Federal Regulations, Title 31, Chapter X, as it pertains to this position. This includes, but is not limited to, observing and reporting suspicious activity, of either customers or employees, as defined in the Code of Federal Regulations.
Responsible for maintaining up-to-date knowledge of all applicable regulations under the Code of Federal Regulations, Title 31, Chapter X, by attending Title 31/Anti-Money Laundering training, provided by Casino Arizona, at least once a year or more if required by management and outlined in the Title 31 Minimum Internal Controls.

Education and/or Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. Minimum 5 years high-volume restaurant experience. At least 2 years supervisory experience. POS experience strongly preferred. Knowledge of Arizona State Liquor Laws - Title 4 and/or Arizona Alcohol Awareness certification a plus.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

Must possess a Maricopa County Food Handler's Card.

Computer Skills

Must have proficient PC skills and be well versed in Microsoft Office applications, POS systems (InfoGenesis preferred), timekeeping/payroll systems (UKG preferred) and inventory/purchasing systems (SWS preferred).
