Purpose of Position
The Avionics Technical Specialist is responsible for providing aircraft avionics and/or digital controlled system(s) technical support to the NetJets organization and its vendors. The Avionics Technical Specialist is appointed and empowered by the aircraft certificate holders' Director of Maintenance (DOM) to conduct designated functions of the DOM office.
Tasks and Responsibilities
  • Provides the Maintenance Control Center (MCC), Flight Operations and vendors with aircraft avionics and digital controlled system(s) troubleshooting support. Works with Original Equipment Manufacturer(s) (OEM) engineering for anomaly resolutions.
  • Works harmoniously with NetJets departments including Line Planning, Quality Assurance, Quality Control, Return to Service, Aircraft Programs and Flight Operations regarding aircraft avionics and/or digital controlled system(s) anomalies.
  • Is responsible for maintaining and providing all necessary technical publications related to NetJets aircraft avionics and/or digital controlled system.
  • Utilize OEM trouble shooting programs such as AReS; Smart Fix Plus

A working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.

Four years in avionics and electronic digital systems troubleshooting experience.

Ability to analyze aircraft wiring diagrams and schematics.
Must be able to work well with vendors and be able to clearly communicate troubleshooting requests.
Must be able to work flexible schedule including being available after hours and holidays.
Strong leadership skills with ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Ability to adjust priorities of projects to meet the changing needs and demands of the organization and operation.
Two years avionics experience directly related to aircraft currently being operated in the NetJets fleet.
FAA Airframe & Powerplant is preferred but not required.
Military experience preferred but not required.
