Assistant Food Service Director
Rate: $21.25/hour
Shift: Full-Time

Northgate Health Care Facility is looking to add an Assistant Food Service Director to its team. In this role, you’ll help oversee daily dietary operations while supporting high-quality meal service, food safety, and resident satisfaction. RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist with the daily operations of the Dietary Department, including meal service, food production, and staff supervision
  • Support scheduling, training, and mentoring of dietary team members
  • Help ensure compliance with food safety regulations, infection control standards, and facility policies
  • Monitor food quality, resident satisfaction, and departmental performance
  • Assist with inventory management, ordering supplies, and controlling food costs
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to meet resident dietary needs and preferences
  • Support departmental documentation, inspections, and quality improvement initiatives
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum education requirement: High School Diploma or equivalent; Culinary School graduate preferred
  • Minimum experience requirement: 1 year working in a dietary position; 6 months of supervisory experience preferred
  • Food Safety Certification required
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Knowledge of food service operations and food safety practices
  • Ability to work collaboratively with residents, families, and interdisciplinary teams
  • Commitment to providing excellent customer service and resident-centered care
