Job description

Department: Field Operations                             

Job Status: Full-Time

FLSA Status: Salary-Exempt                                

Reports To: Regional Manager

Location: West Texas/South Texas Regions                

Amount of Travel Required: 80%       

Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. and on call (24-hour operations)

AIP: Level 5            

Positions Supervised: Field personnel, including field management.

POSITION SUMMARY:  The Fleet Manager (FM) is responsible for supervising all aspects of their assigned EVO fleet(s), and is an ambassador of EVO culture, safety, and ethics.  They are fully vested in the company’s goals and objectives and consistently communicate these to the crews. The Fleet Manager leads by example and proactively supports field operations through direct and indirect supervision to ensure company and client expectations are exceeded.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (The following duties and responsibilities are all essential job functions, as defined by the ADA, except for those that begin with the word "may.")

  • Proficient in reading, writing, and comprehending English.
  • Participates in company safety initiatives including daily programs (written documentation, observations, etc.) and adheres to policies and procedures to ensure the wellbeing of all employees and to drive operational excellence.
  • Works as a team to communicate, collaborate, and create strong alignment internally and externally with our customers and partners.
  • Supervises four crews assigned to EVO fleet.
  • Monitors and optimizes R&M, MCAPEX, and COGS.  
  • Communicates with Service Supervisors and other members of the management team to ensure goals and expectations are met.
  • Communicates directly with customer to ensure needs are being met.
  • Partners with Regional Manager and Engineering to plan logistics of job(s).
  • Mentors and monitors field personnel performance and progression.
  • Holds field personnel accountable for achieving contract minimums.
  • Ensures field operations meet applicable regulations and policies.
  • Manages projects assigned to his or her fleet.
  • Creates long-term and short-term goals for the fleet.  Sets milestones and timelines for achieving those goals.
  • Collaborates with the Accounting and Finance Teams to project and maintain fleet yearly budgets for R&M, CAPEX, and COGS.
  • Collaborates with the Procurement team to streamline and optimize supply chain of parts to the field. Maintains and monitors critical spare inventory. Maintains accountability for transfers and workorders completed.
  • Collaborates with Data Technology Team to ensure that the company’s digital goals are being met or exceeded in the field.
  • Communicates goals up the chain of command to ensure alignment with Executive Goals.
  • Determines the need and use of equipment for each job as per customer’s request.
  • Plans and implements move over procedures for all field moves.
  • Communicates with customer on proper procedures to perform fracturing well service operation and provides instruction on proper procedures to field locations.
  • Enforces safety for each fracturing fleet operations in accordance with the EVO policy and procedures (Field Operations Manual).
  • Prepares and keeps accurate records on unit service work, time sheets, delivery tickets, job reports and other administrative forms.
  • Mentors field personnel to improve their knowledge, skills, and professional growth.
  • Ensures field operations meet applicable regulations and policies for both EVO and all customer expectations and training. Promotes company CORE values and PRISM vision.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned to assist with successful operations and business continuity.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
  • Successfully passes all applicable general pre-employment testing including but not limited to: background check, pre-employment drug screening, pre-employment fit tests, pre-employment aptitude and/or competency assessment(s).
  • Proficiency in spoken English language
  • Valid U.S. Driver’s License required. Most employment is contingent upon meeting company driving standards, including 3-year U.S. driving history and an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) in accordance with Company policy.
  • In-person, predictable attendance during critical operations.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE LEVEL

  • Bachelor’s Degree and or 5-7 years in a Supervisory Hydraulic Fracturing experience or a minimum of 3 years’ experience within an EVO SS role.
  • Previous well control experience preferred.
  • High proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
  • Demonstrated ability to prove a high aptitude in technical skillsets and competencies as listed below.

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, COMPETENCIES, AND ABILITIES

  • Ability to attend, participate, and successfully complete the scheduled New Hire Safety training, including but not limited to H2S, Powered Industrial, and basic First Aid and CPR training.
  • Attends and successfully completes annual safety and operations recertification training.
  • Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly.
  • Fully knowledgeable, compliant, and proactively promote and utilize digital platforms including Active Learner, Paycom, KPA, and other company mandated systems.
  • Advanced ability to communicate verbally and in clear, concise writing.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT

The Fleet Manager works both indoors and outdoors.  While indoors, the Fleet Manager sits for prolonged periods at a desk, while typing on a computer. 

When visiting the wellsite, the Fleet Manager is required to walk, sit, climb, bend, step over, reach and squat/kneel. Work environment includes exposure to hazardous materials, operating conditions, audio up to 85 dB and inclement weather. Given these conditions employees are required to wear company mandated and issued personal protective equipment (PPE) (fire retardant coveralls, safety hat, steel-toe boots, safety glasses, ear protection and impact gloves) and must strictly adhere to all safety policies. Fleet Managers may be called on to lift heavy objects; therefore, Fleet Managers must be able to lift 49 lbs. independently and 50-100 lbs. with a team lift.

Work hours may include early morning, late afternoon/evening hours, and weekends in combination depending on job necessity.
