Job description

We are looking for a versatile Maintenance Mechanic to join our team and oversee the general upkeep, repair, and operational support of our facilities. This is a multi-faceted role that combines skilled trade work with essential production support, ensuring our buildings, grounds, and machinery remain in peak condition. Operating within ISO/AS standards, you will play a critical part in maintaining a safe, efficient, and high-quality manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities Include
  • General Repair: Perform a variety of maintenance tasks across carpentry, plumbing, painting, and groundskeeping to keep various sites operational.
  • Equipment Operation: Safely operate company vehicles including trucks, forklifts, floor scrubbers, and genie lifts.
  • Skilled Craft Support: Provide essential assistance and labor to other skilled trades working on specialized facility projects.
  • PM Documentation: Accurately complete preventative maintenance reports and task requests in a timely manner.
  • Facility Housekeeping: Maintain plant cleanliness by performing janitorial tasks and ensuring a safe, organized workspace.
  • Shipping & Logistics: Assist with set-ups, supplying tools, and the packing or shipping of finished goods.
  • Material Handling: Move and store large reels (60+ lbs) using forklifts and manage inventory documentation.
Skills & Qualifications
  • Education: High School Diploma or G.E.D. required.
  • Licensing: Must possess a valid driver's license.
  • Trade Knowledge: Basic proficiency in carpentry, plumbing, painting, and groundskeeping practices.
  • Technical Literacy: Able to read and work from work orders, material lists, specs, inspection standards, and part numbering systems.
  • Tool Proficiency: Effective use of a wide variety of hand and power tools.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Knowledge of safety practices, procedures related to building trades, and ISO/AS work instructions.
  • Communication: Ability to follow complex oral and written instructions and maintain detailed work documentation.
  • Physical Requirements: * Ability to stand or walk on concrete floors 80% to 99% of the shift.
    • Frequent lifting of up to 50 lbs by hand; 60+ lbs with mechanical assistance.
    • Frequent reaching, stooping, kneeling, and crouching.
  • Age/Policy: Must be 18+ and comply with all company Drug, Alcohol Abuse, and Firearms policies.
Compensation & Benefits

Competitive Pay: Compensation is determined by candidate experience, education, certifications, and specific job-related skills. $25 - $33/hr
