Job description

We are looking for an experienced Sr. Financial Analyst to support financial planning and analytical initiatives for a Contract position based in Falmouth, Maine. This role will focus on interpreting financial data, building models, and delivering insights that help guide budgeting, forecasting, and operational decision-making. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical judgment, comfort working with large datasets, and the ability to translate findings into clear business recommendations.
Responsibilities:
• Develop and maintain financial models to evaluate trends, business performance, and future planning scenarios.
• Analyze budget-to-actual results and investigate variances to identify drivers, risks, and opportunities.
• Prepare recurring and on-demand financial reports that support leadership decision-making and business planning.
• Perform detailed ad hoc analysis to address operational, financial, and strategic questions as they arise.
• Use data mining techniques to extract, organize, and interpret information from multiple sources for actionable insights.
• Support budgeting and forecasting activities by compiling assumptions, validating inputs, and refining projections.
• Monitor financial performance and communicate key findings, including notable changes in revenue, cost, and margin trends.
• Assist with grant-related financial tracking and reporting to help maintain accuracy and compliance requirements.• At least 3 years of experience in financial analysis, corporate finance, or a related analytical role.
• Demonstrated ability to build financial models and use them to support planning and performance evaluation.
