Job description

An established organization is looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join their finance team. You'll take ownership of fixed assets, capital projects, and general ledger accounting, playing a key role in month-end close and annual audit readiness.

This is a fully on-site position in Kenai, AK, ideal for someone who thrives working closely with their team and enjoys the collaboration and mentorship that comes with being in the office every day.

What you'll do

  • Maintain fixed asset schedules and reconcile to the general ledger
  • Calculate monthly depreciation and track capital project costs
  • Manage indirect cost allocations and support the annual indirect cost proposal
  • Reconcile assigned GL accounts and prepare adjusting journal entries
  • Own the month-end close process
  • Support AP, payroll, and AR functions, and assist with the annual financial audit
