To support this growth, we are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Assistant Controller who is ready to play a key role in the day-to-day management of our financial operations. Reporting directly to the Director of Finance, you will be primarily responsible for ensuring the accuracy and compliance of accounting data throughout the financial process, while supporting the Director of Finance across all aspects of the finance function.
• Ensure the accurate and complete recording and classification of financial and accounting transactions for all entities.
• Assist the Accounts Payable Technician in gathering information related to transactions.
• Perform and reconcile bank and credit card account reconciliations.
• Prepare and manage quotes, invoicing, and collection of B2B sales in collaboration with the Customer Service team.
• Verify transactions and validate the calculation of SKU cost of goods sold.
• Perform financial analysis of accounts.
• Reconcile sales and payment accounts from sales platforms (Shopify, Amazon, PayPal, Affirm).
• Prepare GST/QST reports and filings.
• Reconcile intercompany balances and transactions.
• Participate in monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes.
• Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
• Support the preparation of documentation for the annual audit.
• Collaborate with various departments to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial information.
• Provide ongoing support to the Director of Finance and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the finance department.

• 5+ years of experience in a similar accounting role, ideally within e-commerce or a multi-entity environment.
