What does an assistant farm manager do?

An Assistant Farm Manager supports the Farm Manager in overseeing daily operations of a farm. This includes supervising farm workers, maintaining equipment, monitoring crops and livestock, managing supply inventories, and assisting with planning and record-keeping. They often help implement best practices for planting, harvesting, and animal care to ensure productivity and sustainability. The role may also involve administrative tasks such as budgeting, ordering supplies, and ensuring compliance with agricultural regulations.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as an assistant farm manager, and why are they important?

To thrive as an Assistant Farm Manager, you need a solid background in agriculture, knowledge of crop or livestock management, and often a relevant degree or equivalent experience.
