Job description

Turnaround Expeditor

Client: Refinery
Location: Texas City, TX
Duration: Now- April 2027
Benefits: Health, Vision, Dental, 401K, Paid Time Off
Schedule: 5/8s Mon-Fri, base hours are 7am-3:30pm work schedule, with some flexibility allowed in daily start times. It may change to a 4/10 Mon-Thurs, and overtime expected pre and during TAR.

Role will include expediting all equipment and materials purchased for turnaround

Responsibilities: 
Verify materials received
Coordinate marshalling materials from one site to another
Communicate with vendors in order to gather information and solve problems
Prepare reports and documentation pertaining to orders and order shipments
Follow through with vendors on shipments and deliveries and update information in client's system
Compare product deliveries with issued purchase orders and contact vendors when there are discrepancies
Assist purchasing agent to initiate, review, and process purchase requisitions as necessary
Confer with supplies to obtain product or service information such as price, availability, delivery schedule, and verify compliance with established policies and quality system
Communicate requirements to suppliers emphasizing quality, on-time delivery, and value
Assist purchasing agent to conduct and document purchasing activities and negotiate terms to support prudent buying decisions
Verify supplier conformance to company procedures, quality requirements, and other regulatory standards and assist in maintaining appropriate records
Provide purchasing support in sourcing, quoting, negotiation, and administration of vendor/customer contracts
Evaluate weekly reports to identify expedite requirements including back-orders, work orders, late P.O.'s, and daily expedites
Communicate written/verbal expedite requests with vendors and verify successful resolution
Keep management informed of delivery problems affecting key customers and/or business materials received
Could involve traveling to shops to verify production schedules and check order status.

Background Needed:
Preferred system skills SAP, Excel (Microsoft Office) and P6 a plus
Would like someone with experience as an expeditor for an EPC company
