Administrative Assistant - Purchasing

Location: Farmington Hills, MI
Pay: $25.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday-Friday | 40 Hours per Week
Hybrid Opportunity: Work from home 1-2 days per week after 60-90 days of training.

We're looking for an organized and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to support our client's Purchasing and Supply Chain team. This is a temporary position with the potential to become permanent for the right individual. Responsibilities

  • Set up new item numbers using Microsoft Excel.
  • Communicate with vendors regarding purchase orders and order confirmations.
  • Calculate product markups and complete pricing worksheets.
  • Submit pricing templates to the pricing team.
  • Maintain purchasing tracking spreadsheets.
  • Update and delete purchase orders and item numbers as needed.
  • Update website pricing using Excel.
  • Add, remove, and update customer and restaurant information.
  • Scan receiving documents and maintain electronic and physical filing systems.
  • Provide administrative support to the Purchasing department.

Qualifications

  • Previous administrative experience required
  • Experience in purchasing, procurement, supply chain, inventory, or a related field is preferred.
  • Microsoft Excel skills
  • Experience with Oracle or another ERP system is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
