JOB DESCRIPTION:
We are seeking a skilled Excavator Operator with experience in utility work and pipe installation to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience operating excavators for trenching, digging, and backfilling in underground utility projects, including water-main, reinforced concrete pipe, sanitary, and sewer installation. Safety, efficiency, and precision are key to this role.
TYPICAL DUTIES:
  • Operate excavators and other heavy equipment to safely dig trenches and install underground utilities.
  • Work with ground crews to ensure proper placement of utilities.
  • Assist in back-filling and compacting trenches after pipe installation.
  • Ensure pipes are fitted and aligned using grade rods or transit levels.

Position Requirements
REQUIREMENTS:
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience as an Excavator Operator, or in underground utility construction.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction plans.
  • Knowledge of trench safety and shoring techniques.
