Job description

Heavy Equipment Operator
Stuart Contractors LLC is looking for an experienced Heavy Equipment Operator to join our civil construction team. We are seeking a dependable operator who is comfortable working on active job sites and has experience safely operating multiple types of heavy equipment.
This is a full-time, year-round position with competitive pay of $24-$28 per hour, depending on experience. Employees are offered medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) with company match, PTO, paid travel, overtime opportunities, and performance-based reviews. We provide steady, year-round employment with no seasonal winter layoffs.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Safely operate excavators, skid steers, loaders, dozers, rollers, and other construction equipment
• Perform excavation, grading, material handling, and general site work
• Assist crews with daily site operations as needed
• Follow company and jobsite safety procedures
• Maintain a productive work pace while working closely with supervisors and field crews
Position Requirements:
• Minimum of 3 years of heavy equipment operating experience
• Strong excavator operating experience required
• Experience working in civil/site construction is preferred
• Reliable transportation and dependable attendance
• Ability to work Monday through Friday, generally 7:00 AM-4:00 PM, with hours varying based on project needs
• Willingness to work overtime when available or required
