CDL Delivery Driver
Department: Delivery / Fleet Operations | Hourly: $18.00-$26.00/hour | Reports To: Warehouse Manager

Job Summary
The CDL Delivery Driver increases customer and employee satisfaction by delivering material to job sites and customers as efficiently and safely as possible. Drivers must exhibit the highest level of customer service and pride in maintaining the CMC reputation. Drivers must ensure that assigned truck is kept in the best working order possible and assist in monitoring it for service and maintenance needs.
General Duties & Responsibilities
Prepare trucks and tools for departure prior to each run
Perform pre-trip inspection, which includes (but not limited to) properly included material and proper loading to avoid damage and meet DOT regulations
Reload any incorrect items or items that were loaded improperly
Travel to customer site as assigned, while properly following all DOT and CMC Fleet policy regulations
After arrival at customer location, unload material included in customer order, delivering to location as designated by the customer
Verify all items are present and undamaged before obtaining customer signature for proof of delivery
Follow directions on paperwork to collect payment as required
Maintain mileage logs as required
Perform post trip truck inspection
Properly report needs, concerns or any customer requests to supervisor
Complete and turn in all paperwork and COD payments as required
Other tasks and duties as assigned
Requirements
Must be at least 18 years of age
1 year commercial driving experience
DOT medical card required - must be able to pass the physical
MVR Record required prior to hire - must meet internal requirements
Must be able to lift at least 50-75 lbs.
Background check required
Successful completion of background check (no history of violence or theft)
Negative drug screen
CMC Supply is a drug-free workplace
Negative pre-employment drug screen, including marijuana
Valid CDL with acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
Positive points required
Ability to operate company vehicles in compliance with all local and company policies
DOT Medical Card required and ability to pass required physical
Ability to lift and move materials weighing 50-75 pounds regularly
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move throughout the shift
