Job Description

       Assist EVS Manager and Shift Manager in the planning and implementation of weekly supervisor meetings, quarterly meetings with the team members and conduct pre-shift meetings with team members.

       Implement training guidelines and follow up to ensure that programs are working properly and are functional.  Act as a coaching partner with new team members to ensure their successful transition into becoming a confident and productive member of the EVS team.

       Ensure that shift managers have been provided with a list of supply and equipment needs and that all equipment has been properly cleaned, maintained and properly stored.

       Assist with the interviewing and hiring of team members for your shift.

       Understand budgeting and the efforts required to meet budgets.

       Prepare recognition and improvement coaching for team members with specific examples.

       Check staffing levels to ensure proper productivity for each day's work.  Review payroll, ATS, and report any discrepancies.  Monitor overtime.

       Make continuous visual inspections of the casino, F&B outlets, streetscape and administrative offices. Contact the shift manager to correct any deficiencies and to ensure all standards are being met.

       Ensure that all chemicals are being stored, handled, diluted and used properly and safely.

       Communicate with manager and shift manager any information needed to keep the department running effectively.

       The main function of the position is to supervise, but during peak times, team member absence and special situations, supervisors will be required to work hands on with team members to ensure proper coverage.

Qualifications
  • Attention to detail.
  • 2 years prior supervisory experience in Environmental Services or similar field.
  • High school diploma with some college a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills including verbal, written and computer.
  • Must have excellent judgment and decision-making skills.
