Job description

Catering Truck Driver/Steward

Established, Michigan Based Catering Company is looking to add an Event Operations and Truck Driver. 


POSITION SUMMARY: As our Event Operations and Truck Driver, you will be an integral part of the company providing memorable and positive events! If you love working in a team environment, organization, cleaning and are excited about the hospitality industry, this position is for you. 


This person would

  • Drive company owned or rental trucks to off-site events
  • Load and unload trucks with maximum efficiency and timeliness.
  • Assist with event logistics including but not limited to setting up a satellite kitchen on off-premise catering events, communicating any breakage and/or damaged equipment at events and manage the flow assuring the team can keep up with the pace of the event in an organized fashion
  • Understand equipment knowledge and management
  • Maintain safety standards
  • Provide the highest level of hospitality during events (with internal or external teams).
  • Assist with weekly and monthly projects as assigned. 
  • Support all areas at events as needed for the success of the event.
  • Position may entail assisting culinary and front-of-house on events.

Job Requirements

  • Valid Drivers License/Chauffeur's License
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Able to work evenings and weekends when necessary
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds 
  • Position requires extended periods of standing time
