Job Summary: Candidates will support pharmaceutical and life science clients across multiple phases of project execution, including both small- and large-scale capital projects within cGMP environments. They will gain experience collaborating across cross-functional client teams and internal stake holders to successfully complete deliverables, develop execution strategies, and deliver technically sound solutions. All work will be done to meet client requirements while maintaining safety, quality and cost objectives.
Responsibilities:
  • Project Support: Assist our engineering teams in various phases of project development, from concept design to implementation and testing. Participate in creating project lifecycle documents, equipment selection, procurement efforts, and other project engineering efforts. Own issues and drive them to resolution with internal and external customers.
  • Collaboration: Work independently but be quick to ask questions and draw upon the best internal, customer, and industry resources to meet customer requirements accurately and efficiently. Build and maintain healthy, long term, professional relationships with coworkers, customers, suppliers, and industry partners.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and comprehensive project documentation, including design specifications, test plans, and progress reports. Prepare project status reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends, recommending actions.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively in person and in writing to keep customers, contractors, and teams well informed of pertinent information in a timely manner. Help oversee vendor activities to include coordination and communication to ensure project efforts progress while maintaining safety.
  • Innovation: Foster an environment where new ideas are discussed and developed collaboratively. They will help others overcome resistance to change. The candidate will be dedicated to creating solutions to customers' problems.

Qualifications and Experience:
  • Educational Background: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Chemical/Mechanical preferred)
  • Experience: 3 - 6 years of supporting Capital engineering projects in a pharmaceutical, FDA or similar regulated manufacturing environment
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in using engineering tools and software to:
    • Develop project schedules and track progress against milestones and deadlines.
    • Manage project meeting notes and follow-up lists.
    • Knowledge of GMP/cGMP change control process.
    • Conceptual Design skills.
    • Technical Documentation skills including URS generation
    • Vendor coordination and communication.
  • Adaptability: Flexibility and willingness to work on various projects and tasks, embracing new challenges with enthusiasm.
  • Initiative: Demonstrated ability to work independently and take initiative to drive projects forward.
  • Nice to Have:
    • Project scheduling experience using Microsoft Project
    • Have or pursuing certifications such as PMP or FE/PE
    • Procurement experience

Location: Raleigh, NC and Houston, TX
Travel: Flexibility and willingness for occasional travel based on project needs.
