Responsibilities
  • Project Management
  • Multi-Discipline Project Coordination
  • Mentor junior staff
  • Perform work that may include, but is not limited to, construction document (plan and specifications), technical reports preparation and/or oversight; engineering analyses, cost estimates and quality control/quality assurance in order to deliver a quality design product.
  • Implement regulatory requirements and design standards
  • Other duties as required.

Supervisory responsibilities include assisting the Department Manager in:
  • Growing, mentoring, and developing the staff within discipline area to allow each person to achieve their maximum potential.
  • Minimum annual evaluations for each direct report.
  • Providing technical guidance/leadership for discipline area.
  • Organizing staff in a way to allow career advancement, professional development, quality client service, and operational efficiencies to meet business and project financial goals.
  • Taking a very active role in recruitment of staff in discipline area including networking, recruitment, interviewing and "deal closing".

Required Skills & Required Experience
  • BS degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer is preferred.
  • 8-10+ years of design experience desired, related to civil engineer related design projects.
  • AutoCad required and Civil3D and Microstation preferable.
  • Looking for experience in site/civil design, roadway/transportation design, stormwater management and project management skills.
  • Communicates effectively.

The projected range for this position is $133,000-$172,000 annually. Depending upon other factors, i.e., skills, experience, location, market conditions, the range may vary slightly.
