Position Summary
B crew- 7am-7pm
Machine operator that will maintain, troubleshoot, and repair the mechanical End Line equipment.
Essential Functions/Key Deliverables
  • Ensure overall Production of machines and quality according to specification sheets.
  • Ability to do basic repairs on the equipment.
  • Ability to read and understand the information contained on the PO sheet.
  • Check accuracy and quality of finished ends.
  • Locate and clear basic jams that may occur on the machines during Production.
  • Correctly read and interpret messages/statuses on the control panels.
  • Assist with regular servicing and solving of problems regarding machinery.
  • Actively support the maintenance team during line changeover.
  • Train or assist other employees on the daily practices of Production related duties, such as but not limited to, Product changes, housekeeping and visual quality checks.
  • Basic knowledge of the shell press, liners and conversion press.
  • Comply with all Health & Safety regulations, rules, procedures, and policies. Comply with all environmental requirements as stipulated in ISO 14001 and BRC procedures and guidelines on Health & Safety.
  • Perform any reasonable duties assigned by the management staff, corresponding with the role.

Knowledge/Skills/Experience
  • Good Mechanical aptitude is a must.
  • Experience in a Manufacturing facility is a plus.
  • Basic knowledge of US measurement.
  • Ability to use calipers and micrometers.
  • Problem solving skills.
  • Ability to organize own work.
  • Basic knowledge of computers.
  • Experience in mechanical maintenance and repair is a plus.
  • Knowledge of occupational health and safety, fire-prevention, and environment protection regulations.
