Job description

Production Associate IIII (Machine Operator) 
Altoona / Hedgemat
B Shift, 7pm-7am, Monday-Thursday - Hours are subject to change. This position requires flexibility to work evening and overnight shifts.
Duties and Responsibilities:

Primary responsibility of the Lead Operator is the Operation of the Hedgemat Line, assist the Supervisor by managing the day-to-day activities of the Hedgemat production team in order to work safely, produce quality products, meet customer requirements, adhere to current standard work practices and continuously strive to improve standard work and develop a continuous improvement culture within the organization.

Specific to Position:
  • Able to run production line as an Operator
  • Operate fork truck / scissor lift (being comfortable with heights required)
  • Capable of using software packages such as SyteLine / Shipping / Receiving / Excel
  • Overtime weekly (3 operators split coming in early / staying late)
  • Perform department operation procedures that may include assembly, filling and packaging products
  • Adhere to and meet quality standards, as well as adjust the process to meet quality standards if necessary
  • Perform quality checks and collect quality data as needed
  • Enter production quantities and material usage into computer-based system
  • Perform all other production-related duties as assigned or directed
  • Adhere to New Pig’s Safety, Environmental, and Quality standards
  • Actively participate on the process improvement team
