Machine Operator – Plainfield, IN
Pay: $24-$28/hr
Schedule: 2nd shift | Mon-Fri 3:00p-11:30pm
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Machine Operator II to join our manufacturing team in Plainfield, IN. This position is responsible for operating, adjusting, and maintaining bottling and packaging machinery to support efficient production operations. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical skills, experience with equipment changeovers, and the ability to identify and resolve equipment issues while maintaining safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
  • Operate bottling and packaging machinery such as fillers, cappers, and labeling equipment with minimal supervision
  • Perform equipment setups, product changeovers, and line adjustments to meet daily production requirements
  • Troubleshoot operational and mechanical issues and complete minor repairs or adjustments as needed
  • Monitor production performance, including efficiency, downtime, and product quality metrics
  • Conduct routine quality inspections to ensure products meet company and customer standards
  • Provide guidance and support to Machine Operator I team members during production runs
  • Work closely with line operators and production staff to maintain consistent workflow and output
  • Assist maintenance personnel with preventive maintenance tasks and equipment upkeep when necessary
  • Complete production records, logs, and documentation accurately and on time

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required; technical or vocational training is a plus
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in manufacturing or machine operation environments
