Opportunity Overview:
As a Renovations Assistant Project Manager, you'll take the lead on interior value-add projects across our portfolio-ensuring renovations are completed on time, on budget, and up to our high standards. You'll own the day-to-day details, keep communication flowing, and drive projects that elevate our communities and boost long-term value.
Your Day-to-Day:
• Coordinate daily renovation activities with Project Managers, in-house teams, and subcontractors
• Assign and oversee daily work for renovation technicians to keep projects moving efficiently
• Monitor project timelines, quality, budgets, and progress while providing regular updates
• Schedule and manage subcontractors to ensure work is completed on time and meets quality expectations
• Perform quality control inspections and help resolve project challenges as they arise
• Track inventory, materials, and deliveries to keep projects running smoothly
• Assist with hands-on renovation work as needed, including carpentry, painting, plumbing, electrical, cabinetry, appliance installation, and general repairs
• Travel between apartment communities to support renovation projects
• Maintain a safe, organized work environment while following OSHA and company safety standards
• Build strong working relationships with team members, vendors, and community staff

What We're Looking For:
• High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred
• 2+ years of experience in construction, renovations, maintenance, or project supervision
• Experience coordinating or leading renovation, construction, or skilled trades projects
• Working knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general renovation practices
• Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Valid driver's license required with the ability to travel between communities (up to 25%)
• Ability to lift up to 45 lbs. and comfortably work in active renovation environments, including walking properties, climbing stairs, bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods
