About Us:

IMC Electrical LLC offers a wide range of electrical installation services for private and public facilities with a large footprint in the Multi-Family and Commercial markets. With headquarters in Northeast Florida, our team provides cost-effective electrical solutions. We strive to deliver quality service and efficient solutions to our clients.

Role Overview:

Supports the Foreman in leading and coordinating electrical crews on multifamily construction sites. This role helps ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with project plans, specifications, and electrical codes. The Assistant Foreman acts as a working leader performing electrical tasks while assisting with supervision, quality checks, and communication between the crew and site management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assists the Foreman in directing daily activities of electricians and apprentices on site.
  • Supports installation, repair, and maintenance of electrical systems, including wiring, conduits, panels, lighting, switches, receptacles, and other related components.
  • Reads and interprets blueprints and schematics to ensure accurate installation and layout.
  • Monitors job progress and report updates or potential issues to the Foreman or Project Manager.
  • Ensures crew follow safety standards, electrical codes, and company procedures.
  • Helps manage materials, tools, and equipmentโ€”tracking usage and reporting needs or shortages.
  • Provides guidance and mentorship to less experienced team members.
  • Assists with field problem-solving and coordination with other trades as needed.
  • Performs quality checks to ensure work meets IMC Electrical standards and project requirements.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 3+ years of experience in electrical installation, maintenance, or repair; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Previous experience in a leadership or lead electrician role is preferred.
  • Journeyman license preferred or actively working toward obtaining one.

Capabilities:

  • Strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and OSHA safety standards.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on safety and quality craftsmanship.

Working Conditions:

  • Work is performed both indoors and outdoors, often exposed to the natural elements of cold, heat, moisture, and wind.
  • Prolonged periods standing, kneeling, bending, and climbing ladders or scaffolding.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
