Do you want to make a significant difference in the lives of people living with disabilities? Are you a resourceful and responsible person? RI Lemire is recruiting a permanent full-time or part-time worker, including a minimum of 1/2 weekend, for our new specialized intermediate resource in Drummondville, dedicated to supporting people with an intellectual disability, autism spectrum disorder or serious behavioral disorders.

Responsibilities: Accompaniement : Respect the intervention plan established by the clinical team for each resident. Actively contribute to creating and maintaining a stimulating and dynamic living environment. Use various intervention and animation techniques to promote the integration and development of residents.

Encourage residents' participation in activities in collaboration with volunteers and other team members. Write comments on resident participation in their evaluation notebook. Plan and organize special events, and assist with outing preparation.

Basic care: Provide support in daily care and domestic life activities. Prepare meals and assist residents with feeding. Assist with hygiene care as needed.

Distribute medication in accordance with established procedures. Perform transfers according to injury prevention principles and internal protocols. Monitor the general health of users and report any anomalies to management.

Requirements: Secondary school diploma (DES). Current training in special education techniques or a related field, or relevant experience. Minimum of 6 months experience in a similar role.

Up-to-date PDSB, RCR, DI-TSA, TGC, OMEGA, PICA and law 90 training, an asset. Knowledge of the realities related to intellectual disability, physical handicaps and behavioral disorders, an asset. Good command of oral and written communication in French.
