Position Overview: 

Greater Des Moines Habitat for Humanity is seeking a dedicated and skilled professional to join our team as an Executive Administrative Assistant. This role is a unique opportunity to contribute to the success of a leading nonprofit organization in the field of affordable housing. As the Executive Administrative Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the CEO, Executive Staff, as well as providing strong administrative support for the Habitat Board of Directors. 


Responsibilities: 

  1. Calendar Management:?Effectively manage the CEO's calendar, coordinating meetings, appointments, and events to ensure optimal time management. 
  2. Data Collection and Reporting: Gather and organize data for reporting purposes, providing valuable insights to support decision-making processes. 
  3. Meeting and Event Coordination: Facilitate the seamless execution of meetings, trips, and events by handling logistics, scheduling, and communication with participants. 
  4. Communication Liaison:?Act as a liaison between the CEO, Executive Staff, Board of Directors, and internal/external stakeholders, ensuring clear and effective communication channels. 
  5. Board of Directors Support:?Serve as an Assistant Secretary to the Board of Directors, assisting with documentation, meeting coordination, and maintaining accurate records. 
  6. Additional Duties: Undertake additional responsibilities and tasks as assigned, adapting to the dynamic needs of the organization. 

Requirements

Qualifications: 

  • 2+ years of experience as an executive administrative assistant, preferably in a nonprofit setting. 
  • Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities. 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite- Teams, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook. 
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. 
  • Proficient in calendar management, data entry/collection, and report generation. 
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
