Job description

Title:                    Assistant Marketing Videographer
Department:     Marketing
Reports To:        Marketing Videographer
 

Position Overview:
Join Dordt University's marketing team and help tell the stories that define the Dordt experience. The Assistant marketing videographer will assist in the planning, creation, and editing of video content used across social media, digital advertising, recruitment campaigns, and university communications.
This position provides hands-on experience in video production, content strategy, storytelling, and digital marketing while working alongside the university's video team.
 

Responsibilities:
Assist with video pre-production, including research, planning, scheduling, and preparation.
Capture video and photo content at campus events, student activities, and marketing projects.
Edit video content for social media, digital advertising, and promotional campaigns.
Create short-form content for platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and Facebook.
Help organize and manage media assets, footage, and project files.
Assist with equipment setup, maintenance, and production logistics.
Collaborate with marketing staff and student creators to develop engaging content ideas.
Support other marketing and communication initiatives as assigned.
 

Preferred Qualifications:
Interest in video production, filmmaking, marketing, communications, or digital media.
Basic experience with video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro.
Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Creative mindset with an interest in storytelling and social media.
