JOB SUMMARY
The E-Commerce Assistant Manager supports and maximizes online revenue through effective leadership of E-Commerce production, posting, inventory flow, and sales functions. This role ensures excellent online merchandising standards, operational efficiency, and a mission-centered work environment. The E-Commerce Assistant Manager works closely with the E-Commerce Manager to meet or exceed productivity, quality, and financial goals across platforms including ShopGoodwill, Amazon and eBay. The role also exercises delegated decision-making authority to maintain daily operational continuity, promote consistent quality, and ensure accurate and compliant E-Commerce activity.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES amp; RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provide daily leadership, coaching and supervisory support to E-Commerce staff to achieve production, quality and financial targets.
  • Ensure consistent workstation coverage across all operating hours, supporting scheduling, workflow coordination and daily staff decisions.
  • Helps with recruitment, interviewing, and placement processes, onboarding procedures, and the completion of associated paperwork in compliance with agency policy
  • Assist in the training and development of store staff on evaluating items for E-Commerce, must be able to assist at other store locations
  • Ensure mission integration by supporting program participants and modeling Goodwill’s values.
  • Assist with all merchandise for entry into the E-Commerce software by photographing, writing and proofing descriptions, displaying, and posting all items ensuring posting production quotas are met/exceeded
  • Assist in all operations of e-books using given software, ensuring postings quotas are met/exceeded
  • Completes store reports as required and send them to the appropriate departments in a timely manner.
  • Assist and ensure merchandise is properly packaged according to UPS, FedEx amp; USPS shipping guidelines and is shipped in a timely manner
  • Maintains established customer service standards, addressing customer’s inquiries within 24 hours
  • Ensure a clean, safe work environment and duties are performed in a safe manner.
  • Take responsibility for safety issues in assigned areas. Investigate and report all accidents/injuries/incidents
  • Safeguards company property, including donated goods. Reports any incidents of theft or unauthorized possession of company property
  • Promote diversity in the workplace through hiring practices with assistance from the Human Resources Department
  • Meet or exceed the attendance expectations for this position
  • Actively maintain a safe, healthy, and positive environment that promotes the physical and emotional well-being of employees, customers, and participants

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
  • 6 months to one (1) year experience selling new/donated/used/pre-owned goods online preferred
