Job description

Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This role offers an opportunity to apply specialized sterile compounding skills alongside clinical pharmacy expertise in a dynamic infusion pharmacy setting. You will ensure precise medication preparation, regulatory compliance, and provide leadership within a fast-paced environment serving infusion patients.

Location:

  • Starke, FL

Schedule:

  • Monday to Thursday, 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM

Contract Type:

  • Travel position, 13+ weeks contract to hire

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interpret, verify, and process physician medication orders accurately
  • Perform and oversee sterile compounding adhering to USP <797> and USP <800> standards
  • Conduct final verification of compounded sterile preparations before dispensing
  • Review medication profiles for safety parameters including allergies, interactions, dosing, and compatibility
  • Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and healthcare team members to optimize patient outcomes
  • Supervise and mentor pharmacy technicians and support staff to ensure quality and safety
  • Maintain cleanroom conditions, aseptic technique, and environmental monitoring standards
  • Participate in quality assurance, medication safety initiatives, audits, and continuous improvement efforts
  • Manage compounding, batch, quality, and regulatory documentation thoroughly
  • Assist with inventory control, handling of controlled substances, and overall pharmacy operations
  • Support the development and updating of pharmacy policies, procedures, and staff training programs
  • Engage actively in staff meetings and professional conferences

Qualifications:

  • Active Florida Pharmacist license in good standing
  • At least one year of experience in hazardous and non-hazardous sterile compounding compliant with USP <797>, USP <800>, DEA, OSHA, and Board of Pharmacy regulations
  • Strong communication and leadership skills to effectively guide the pharmacy team and collaborate with healthcare professionals
