The Assistant Store Manager position is a critical piece to our trainee's and staff's success. Position acts as an assistant to the Manager in the Reedsport Shop amp; Save store. This position will manage day-to-day store operations and provide supervision and support to all store staff, DSPs, volunteers, and trainees.

Qualifications:
  • High-school diploma or GED; AA degree in related field preferred, or acceptable combination of experience and education.
  • At least one yearโ€™s mid-level supervisory retail experience required.
  • At least 18 years of age.
  • Some exposure to working with adults with intellectual/developmental disabilities in an employment setting preferred.
  • Basic computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office products.
  • Must have ability and desire to relate to persons with physical/mental disabilities with dignity and respect.
  • Proven, stable employment history.
  • Adhere to the company Attendance Policy and be dependable on a consistent basis.
  • Must have a valid Oregon driverโ€™s license and insurable by Sunrise insurance carrier.
  • Ability to pass criminal history check.
  • Ability to pass drug screen, including THC.
  • Must obtain CPR and First Aid Certification. (We can assist with this)
Essential Functions:
  • Comply with all applicable federal, state, and local rules and regulations.
  • Assist manager with compliance of Sunrise Policy and Procedures.
  • Supervise all staff and trainees in performing daily operations of store.
  • Function as store manager in managerโ€™s absence.
  • Perform duties and complete tasks as requested by supervisor in a reasonable amount of time.
  • Submit time sheets and other required documentation in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Maintain agency records in a professional manner consistent with prescribed guidelines and expectations.
  • Do not exceed responsibilities/authority that has been delegated by supervisor.
  • Assure quality of services and products provided to Trainees and customers.
  • Ensure and maintain security of assigned corporate buildings, property, and other assets.
  • Provide effective training for staff and trainees.
  • Supervise and/or assist with task analyses, norms, and time studies.
  • Assure that cost effective and efficient production methods are utilized.
  • Set a good example to others regarding skills, behaviors, attitudes and personal characteristics required to function effectively in a work environment.
  • Implement and participate in safety and safety programs. Report any accidents, incidents of neglect, abuse, emergencies, or problems to the supervisor and/or appropriate person per policy.
  • Attend and participate in required meetings, trainings, and committees.
Support Functions
  • Assure quality of Sunrise employment services.
  • Serve as a role model for appropriate work behaviors, social skills, respect for others, and cooperation.
  • Follow all trainee protocols, including training, employment, medical and behavioral supports.
  • Provide transportation to trainees as needed.
  • Complete and provide evidence of trainings to meet state requirements for Direct Support Professionals.
  • Keep relationships with trainees professional and limited to work settings and supports.
  • Notify your supervisor of any conflicts of interest due to preexisting relationships with trainees.
  • Assist trainees to acquire and develop the skills, behaviors, attitudes, and personal characteristics required to function effectively in a work environment.
  • Assist Employment Services staff in providing case management of trainees as directed. This includes trainee goal setting and training that would maximize their employment potential.
  • Ensure job stations for trainees are set up prior to their work shift.
  • Ensure processes are in place to keep the flow of material to job stations constant.
