Job Summary:
House Doctors are expected to maintain a positive representation of Sack Lumber Company by providing an outstanding customer service experience consistent with company values. Sack Lumber House Doctors assist the Yard Manager and General Office to complete various contract jobs and installed sales in the Crete, NE area. House Doctors should continually expand their knowledge of the LBM industry and building/construction trends, methods, and technology. Their job will include, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities:
Responsibilities:
  • Works with Yard Manager to provide outstanding customer service
  • Professionally completes contract jobs and installed sales as directed by the Yard Manager
  • Assists the Yard Manager to produce accurate estimates for projects, including materials estimating, time/labor estimates, and cost estimates.
  • Consults with Yard Manager on priority of projects, and adjusts timelines as needed.
  • Maintains a positive working relationship with fellow employees, community members, and customers
  • Other duties as required by the Manager or General Office
  • Maintains a strong desire to learn and grow with Sack Lumber Company as a House Doctor.

Qualifications:
  • General Carpentry and Construction skills - to include window/door installation, trim, millwork, garage doors and openers, flooring installation, siding, etc.
  • Outstanding customer service skills and a professional attitude.
  • A working knowledge of the products contained in the store with a willingness to continue to learn.
  • Organized, self-starter who is able to think independently and solve problems.
  • Strong math, reading, writing, and communication skills.
  • Capacity to follow through on assignments and self-motivated to stay busy throughout the day.

Compensation: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
