Job description

Join Our Medical Surgical Unit at Cottage Hospital
If you're looking for a meaningful role in a supportive, team-oriented environment, we invite you to join Cottage Hospital's Medical Surgical Unit. Our team provides high-quality, compassionate care to patients with a variety of acute and rehabilitative needs-including post-surgical recovery, joint replacements, and critical care support.
In this role, you will assist in the planning, delivery, and evaluation of patient care within your scope of practice, working closely with registered nurses and the broader care team. You'll play an important part in ensuring each patient receives safe, individualized care while contributing to a culture focused on collaboration, learning, and excellence.
We're looking for someone who is detail-oriented, proactive, and committed to continuous growth. You should feel comfortable prioritizing care for patients with complex needs, recognizing changes in condition, and communicating effectively with both providers and team members.

  • Monitor, document, and communicate patient status and changes in condition
  • Assist in developing and carrying out individualized care plans
  • Provide education and support to patients and families
  • Delegate appropriately and collaborate with LNAs/LPNs and multidisciplinary teams
  • Maintain accurate, timely documentation and stay current with clinical knowledge
