Job Description Summary
MUSC Accel Health is located in Columbia Northeast and is an annual subscription program connecting patients with a doctor specializing in primary care. The physician and support team will focus on preventive medical care and create wellness plans customized to patients' unique needs while enhancing the patient experience by providing a high level of customer service. This dedicated partnership between patients and their physician includes convenient and immediate attention through same-day or next-day appointments, customized wellness plans, personalized care, direct access to physician and referral management to specialty care.

Job Description
Greets and welcomes patients and families in person or on the telephone. Optimizes the patients’ experience through exceptional customer service and clinic efficiency. Maintains scheduling based on templates, patient accounts by obtaining, recording, and updating personal and financial information accurately and effectively. Collects membership fees, co-pays and prior patient balances. Protects patients' rights by maintaining confidentiality of personal and financial information. Position also involves customer service, message distribution, ancillary scheduling and referrals management. Ability to interact with medical professionals and other care team members from diverse cultures and backgrounds.
Minimum Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalency plus one year of patient care experience in a health care facility; or a Certified Nursing Assistant; or successful completion of a Nursing Assistant or Medical Assistant course at an accredited institution or equivalent training; or EMT orParamedic certification; or a Bachelor’s degree.
