Medical Director - Behavioral Health Services

Piedmont Healthcare is seeking a board-certified/board-eligible Medical Director - Behavioral Health Services to join our growing behavioral health team. This is an In-patient position.

Position Highlights:
  • Primary inpatient, Outpatient, and Facility Consult Oversight and Coverage
  • Serve as Medical Director for Behavioral Health Services at Piedmont Macon
  • Expected schedule: 5 days (Mon- Fri), assist with weekend and night call as needed
  • Required to supervise mid-levels (APPs)
  • Opportunities to pick up additional shifts for consults via telehealth and/or in-person across the Piedmont system
  • Supervision of medical students and psychiatry residents
  • Epic EMR
Qualifications:
  • Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
  • Board-certified or board-eligible in Psychiatry
  • Active or eligible for medical licensure in Georgia
  • Experience supervising APPs is preferred
  • Strong clinical, administrative, and physician leadership skills
  • Previous experience with ketamine and TMS preferred
  • Experience treating both adults and adolescents preferred
