Job description

Description
  • Under the direction of the Director of Football Performance for Football, assist in the supervision and management of the day-to-day operations of football peak performance.
  • Teach, demonstrate, and supervise proper techniques for strength, speed, conditioning, and flexibility exercises within the program, and maintain a safe and positive training environment.
  • Work closely with medical and athletic training staff to integrate injured athletes safely and effectively into the athletic performance program and assist in the coordinated efforts to maximize participation while minimizing risk and injury.
  • Maintain knowledge of current trends, practices and techniques related to strength and conditioning programming.
  • Demonstrate effectiveness in recruiting, training, coaching, evaluating, and supervising student athletes to attain their maximum level of academic and athletic performance and to compete successfully against competition.
  • Assist in overall supervision of weight room facilities including ensuring proper maintenance of equipment and monitoring compliance of safety procedures.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required. Knowledge of and ability to abide by NCAA, Patriot League, and Lafayette College rules and regulations. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
