Job description

JOB TITLE:   FIELD SERVICE TECHNICIAN                                                                                

PRIMARY FUNCTION:

The Field Service Technician position supports the branch, and client, in all HVAC, Diesel Generators and Electrical Distribution maintenance, installation, and repair needs.  This position ensures that all rental equipment maintenance and repair needs of the branch is conducted in an efficient, accurate, and timely manner. This role provides a great opportunity to learn and grow within our service department and beyond.

PRIMARY DUTIES:

  1. Performs maintenance, testing, and repairs of HVAC, Diesel Generator and Electrical Distribution equipment in both the shop and in the field
  2. Act as a liaison between customers, and other departments of the branch, to ensure customer expectations are met and exceeded in terms of rental equipment maintenance and repair
  3. Trouble shoot all rental equipment for most efficient way to get equipment back online
  4. Maintain professional and ethical business relationships with all customers and co-workers following the established company policies and procedures
  5. Produce all required service tickets and/or documentation accurately, completely, and in a timely manner
  6. Communicates with the team for ordering and stocking of needed parts, equipment, and accessories
  7. Communicates with team for coordinating delivery and pickup of parts, equipment, and accessories
  8. Foster good working relationships with clients and team members by training on parts, equipment, and accessories
  9. Be an ambassador for safety, making sure all work is done in the safest manner
  10. Continuous growth of knowledge for all Company products, inventory, and delivery capabilities
  11. Assist with stocking, pick-up, and delivery of all parts, equipment, and accessories
  12. Maintain a clean work environment
  13. Performs other tasks and duties as assigned by Management

EDUCATION & SKILLS REQUIRED:

  1. Must be mechanically inclined with HVAC/and or Generator background and knowledge of various HVAC/Power systems and controls
  2. Must be able to travel locally and regionally
  3. Must be able to multi-task and work on many different projects at one time
  4. Must be able to work independently, and in a team environment, to prioritize and accomplish assigned projects
  5. Must be detail oriented and organized 
  6. Must have a valid state driver’s license with a moderately clean driving record
  7. Must be able to stand, sit, and kneel for long periods of time in all weather conditions
  8. Must be able to frequently lift 50+ lbs.
  9. Must have a TWIC Card
