CAM Engineer / CAD-CAM Engineer

Location: Winston-Salem, NC

Employment Type: Full-Time

Schedule: Monday – Friday

About the Role

Our company is seeking a highly technical CAM Engineer / CAD-CAM Engineer to support advanced digital manufacturing and production workflows within a growing dental technology operation.

This role is focused on CAM engineering, toolpath development, workflow optimization, machine performance, and technical problem-solving. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with advanced CAM workflows, industrial milling, medical manufacturing, or dental manufacturing, and will be comfortable working in a fast-paced, precision-driven production environment.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys improving processes, solving technical challenges, and working with advanced restorative and implant-related manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and optimize CAM workflows and milling strategies
  • Create, review, and manage toolpaths for advanced restorative manufacturing
  • Troubleshoot technical issues related to milling, software, materials, and production workflow
  • Collaborate with CAD designers, production team members, and leadership to improve manufacturing outcomes
  • Support machine optimization, software configuration, and workflow consistency
  • Assist with automation, efficiency improvements, and process development
  • Analyze production challenges and recommend practical operational improvements
  • Maintain precision, consistency, and reproducibility across manufacturing workflows
  • Support the implementation of new digital technologies and manufacturing processes
  • Assist with quality assurance, technical case review, and production readiness

Qualifications

  • Prior CAM engineering or advanced milling experience required
  • Dental, medical manufacturing, or industrial milling experience preferred
  • Strong understanding of toolpath engineering and digital manufacturing workflows
  • Experience with implant restorations, custom abutments, bars, or advanced restorative manufacturing preferred
  • Proficiency in at least two of the following platforms preferred:

  • Strong analytical, engineering-oriented mindset
  • Excellent troubleshooting and technical problem-solving abilities
