Job description

Summary

Support applications and design engineers to improve new design lead-times.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Maintain Design Engineering New Design Schedule (designs, EM, parts orders and reworks).

Assist design engineers and electrical engineers with keying BOMs for designs and EMs.

Update RNCs in the system, flagging conveyors in M3 and adding the information in PDM (checking statuses of designs flagged and updating the correct parties).

Updates from Customer service require changes, flagging conveyors in M3 and adding the information in PDM (checking statuses of designs flagged and updating the correct parties).

Help push and control Global changes & ECNs from Global.

Maintain product data management (PDM) system.

Set up EMs for Design Engineering.

Update matrix/feature options.

Update and Maintain design information folders in PDM.

Send emails to Electrical Engineer requesting electric changes that are required.

Send an email to the Engineering Lead and Customer Service Manager informing EMs have been filed.

Updating FV statuses and filing in PDM.

Helping with project work gathering data.

Gather and organize data for biweekly RNC and RQP review meetings and track data trends.

Attend Schedule Review meetings to provide information on status of new design and provide information to sales if design may miss the scheduled ship date.

Champion Process Improvements for new designs from PO receipt until ready to ship.

Assist Application Engineering Administrator when necessary with DE manager’s approval.
