Staff Experts, LLC is currently seeking to fill Manufacturing Production Line Mechanic positions.

Position Summary:

Required to follow instruction from the maintenance supervisor and is responsible for knowing and following all safety policies including lockout methods and procedures. Will be required to assist in training other mechanics. Responsible for troubleshooting, repair and upkeep of the plant machinery including auxiliary equipment. Must be able to read downtime reports and follow checklists to make proper repairs daily, as well as report in writing or verbally, the repairs needed and the parts or equipment required to the maintenance supervisor. Maintenance of the production line is expected to be accurate, preventative and done in a timely manner.

Job Functions:

  1. Follow checklist procedures
  2. Read downtime reports and conduct the necessary repairs and adjustments
  3. Must troubleshoot, identify problems and make proper repairs
  4. Remove and replace motors/parts
  5. Disassemble and rebuild motors
  6. Identify and repair or replace worn parts
    1. Chains, sprockets, gear box, rope, pulleys, etc
  7. Responsible for work and repairs on any part of the Line
    1. Production machine, grouper, racker, cars, packager, etc
  8. Clean the Line before any repair or maintenance
  9. Follow all safety guidelines at all times
  10. Assist and train personnel as assigned


Requirements:

Preferably 3 years of experience in mechanical work on production machinery. Must complete work in a timely manner, and strive to increase productivity. Must be on time as scheduled each day and clock in and out for each shift and rest period. Must supply own hand tools (wrenches, hammer, screwdrivers etc, refer to list). Must have skill in general mechanics and be able to complete basic troubleshooting and repair of a majority of the production line machines with little supervision/assistance.


The mechanic must be proficient (able to perform with little supervision) in the following requirements

  1. Must have skill in welding
  2. Skill in cutting with gas torch
  3. Skill in removing and replacing motors
  4. Knowledge of fundamental electrical work
  5. Experience with conveyers, mixing systems, extrusion
  6. Must be able to troubleshoot
  7. Skill in alignment and adjustment
  8. Extensive knowledge of hand tools and their uses, drill bit sizes, etc
  9. Skill in using air tools and electrical hand tools
  10. Knowledge of and trouble shooting skills in mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic areas of manufacturing, clutch brakes, and motorized systems
