What's in it for you:
The OpEx Change Agent is responsible for assisting production supervisors and production leaders in transforming their line or area, as well as sustaining improvements through the implementation of tiered management systems. This role is focused on addressing future improvement needs at a line or area within their assigned areas of responsibility. This role will require 5% travel to other Trane Technologies sites.
What you will do:
  • Process & System Improvement
  • Support and enable the development and optimization of capable process and standardization of improvements through Daily Management Excellence (DME)
  • Lead the planning and execution of rapid improvement events (RIEs) at a determined pace, meeting impact and improvement targets
  • Support conducting transformation processes inclusive of scoping, training and pre-work, value stream analysis and assessment, creation of breakthrough future state vision, and execution of associated activities
  • Coach, teach, and utilize rapid improvement event standard work to ensure high levels of engagement and collaboration from RIE leaders and team members during pre-work, event week and post-work
  • Execution & Sustainment Through Management Systems
  • Drive high-quality problem solving and sustainment of improvement efforts through effective execution at mission control
  • Enable sustainment of transformation efforts through the development of systems and effective tiered management
  • Engrain all aspects of the BOS to enable and facilitate cross-functional collaboration improving safety, quality, delivery, etc.
  • Translate strategy (GDP, LRP, PGT) into action within assigned are of responsibility
  • People Development & Culture
  • Utilize, coach and teach the 6 foundational competencies to build capability across assigned area of responsibility
  • Foster culture change by supporting the development of systems that drive behavior aligned to lean principles
  • Visibly lead to highlight focus and accountability to improvement activities

What you will bring:

  • Goal: Improve overall process and system efficiency of assigned lined or area
  • Objectives:
  • Plan and execute RIEs at a determined pace
  • Meet impact and improvement targets for RIEs such as cycle time, lead time, delivery, quality, and safety.
  • Increase DME maturity in assigned area of responsibly by percentage aligned with one-year glidepath in assigned line or area
  • Execution & Sustainment Through Management Systems
  • Goal: Achieve on-time execution of transformation activities and sustainment through follow-up checkpoints
  • Objectives:
  • Meet LRP 1-year glidepath improvement targets for assigned area of responsibility
  • Utilize Gemba activities to provide adequate coaching, feedback and accountability engraining and/or changing behavior aligned to lean principles
  • Ensure countermeasures for assigned RIEs deliver expected results and sustain over a 6-month period
  • People Development & Culture
  • Goal: Promote a culture for continuous improvement and development of people
  • Objectives:
  • Partner with production supervisors and leaders in area of responsibility to teach the 6 foundational competencies, coach the self-assessment and calibration process, and assist in the creation of associated actions plans
  • Support improvement of radar charts within area of scope
